Expected results of the project:
- Specialized Training Programs developed for boat construction and modification;
- Craftsmen and artisans trained in boat construction and modification techniques, equipped with the skills to design and adapt boats to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities (PwD);
- Employment and entrepreneurship opportunities promoted within the tourism sector for trained craftsmen and artisans;
- Collaborative networks established among trained professionals and relevant stakeholders from tourism sector;
- Replication of best practices and case studies in boat construction and modification for accessibility;
- Accessible Tourist boats made and adapted, including construction of ramps and facilities to enhance accessibility for PwD on tourist boats;
- Tourism staff and service providers trained in inclusive customer service and communication techniques, enabling them to deliver enhanced services and cater to the specific needs of PwD tourists;
- Touristic offerings diversified and tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of PwD tourists;
- Promotional campaign conducted to showcase the accessible touristic offerings and attract PwD tourists;
- Increased recognition and certification of accessible tourism offerings through collaboration with relevant certification bodies;
Target groups: People with Disabilities (PwD), unemployed, craftsmen and artisans, tourism staff and tourist service providers.
Project area: Montenegro – Podgorica, Tuzi, Zeta, Plav; Albania – County of Shkodra including the following municipalities: Malesi e Madhe, Shkoder, Vau i Dejes.
Impact of the project: To create a lasting impact by fostering inclusive employment, improving accessibility, and promoting social and touristic inclusion for people with disabilities, leading to enhanced cross-border collaboration and a more inclusive and diverse tourism sector.
