Boosting decent employment for youth and unemployed people in the cross-border area of Montenegro and Albania

Expected results of the project:

  • A CareerPro Hub renovated and equipped with furniture and electronic devices for 16 posts in Lezha;
  • 30 persons (16-18 years) in both areas trained on soft skills applying SKYE Club Methodology and digital skills and 16 of them benefited from internship scheme;
  • 30 long-term unemployed persons trained on employability skills and hospitality skills from CB in both areas and 17 employed through employment scheme;
  • 40 women/men gained professional skills in crafts and local products and 25-30 of them developed boniness planning skills;
  • 12 artisans and local producers received support to grow and formalise their businesses;
  • A joint report on Labor Market Analysis for Programme area is produced;
  • 16 staff from national, regional and local labour offices and project in both areas exchanged knowledge and information;
  • 40 artisans and local producers from both areas promote their products beyond their respective borders;
  • 140 jobseekers and 30 businesses are aware of employment services available and strengthen the cooperation with labour offices in both areas;
  • 35-40 businesses and 60 unemployed participated in job fairs in both areas;
  • 35-40 stakeholders (local authorities, businesses, CSOs)are aware of the challenges and a position paper is prepared and disseminated to decision-makers.

Target groups: Students from disadvantaged families, unemployed youth, unemployed men and women, local businesses and staff of employment Agencies/Office.

Project area: Lezha, Kurbin, Mirdite, Podgorica, Plav, Ulcinj and Tuzi.

Impact of the project: To improve labour market orientation and access to increase employment and self-employment skills of youth, women, and long-term unemployed persons in Albania and Montenegro.
